Welcome to the Lancaster Police Department 

As the City of Lancaster evolves, the safety and protection of our residents remain our top priority. In late 2025, we proudly introduced the Lancaster Police Department. Partnering with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), we have developed a hybrid policing model that emphasizes collaboration, community engagement, and shared responsibility.

Founded on principles of unity and joint commitment, the Lancaster Police Department aims to enhance and support the efforts of the LASD. This innovative partnership ushers in a new era of community-led policing, allowing the LASD to focus on major crimes while we implement proactive prevention programs to address community safety issues.
